Planning Site Inventory Control Engineer (SIC) – OMT

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Planning Site Inventory Control (SIC) Engineer to drive digital transformation of its manufacturing operations in Taiwan. The role combines production line oversight, data‑driven inventory optimization, and automation development to improve efficiency and quality across high‑volume semiconductor fabs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production line performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Use advanced analytics and scheduling tools to strengthen site inventory health and support supply‑chain stability.
• Develop and maintain Python and SQL applications that automate scheduling optimization and streamline manufacturing processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to enhance inventory performance through process improvements, scheduling logic, and data‑driven reporting.
• Build dashboards and analytical reports (Power BI, Tableau) to provide actionable insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and application development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience in data visualization.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and scheduling principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functional teams.
• Preferred: background in high‑volume production environments, business‑process improvement, and project‑management methodologies.
