Mechanical Engineer – YTG (Full-time)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (YTG) for its Tainan site. The role involves solving complex mechanical problems, designing custom tooling, and supporting the full product life‑cycle of semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Develop, design, or modify mechanical layouts, schematics, and specifications.
• Design and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes.
• Perform engineering analysis and generate test reports for complex scopes.
• Lead projects, develop key suppliers, and create mechanical product specifications.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet‑metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, and flow analysis.
• Familiarity with Design for Excellence principles.

• CAD (2D/3D) modelling and GD&T.

• XY table design and precision machine design.
• Mechatronic system design, including servo‑controlled actuators and positioning stages.
