Materials Project Management (DFT)

About the role

The Materials Project Management (DFT) position supports engineering, materials and manufacturing planning for semiconductor equipment. You will coordinate demand signals, manage supplier relationships, and develop material strategies to meet cost and quality objectives. The role works closely with engineering, sourcing and quality teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and provide input to outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and manage product development deliverables across buyers, planners and production control.
• Create, release and update project materials strategies under supervision.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and conduct supplier risk assessments.
• Manage materials change control, cost targets and quality issue resolution.
• Generate and publish key process indicators and track total landed cost targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in materials management and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Understands best practices, market competition and how the function integrates with other areas.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small projects.
• Solves complex problems by analyzing multiple information sources.
• Communicates difficult or sensitive information and builds consensus.

• DFT (Density Functional Theory) knowledge.
• MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
