Manufacturing Technician

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician at Applied Materials you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing high‑value display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role supports the production of semiconductor chips and advanced displays that power AI and next‑generation technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair or test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs on sub‑assemblies and components.
• Receive parts, conduct audits to confirm availability and inspect for defects.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assembly performance.
• Document progress, labor and expense details; execute computer programming, software installations or repairs as required.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop new processes, propose procedural improvements and provide feedback on product design.
• Train and support lower‑level technicians and assist supervisors in resource planning for daily production.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with electro‑mechanical assembly and equipment testing.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail for parts inspection and audit activities.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and follow safety protocols.
