Legal Counsel

About the role

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its dynamic Legal team. The role involves providing commercial contract expertise and legal guidance across sales, operations, finance, and accounting functions within a fast‑growing technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with Sales, Operations, Finance and Accounting teams regarding negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, channel, partnership, OEM, licensing, and services agreements.
• Advise on risks of proposed commercial transactions and deliver practical, results‑oriented legal advice aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Support the broader Legal team on additional matters and provide training to non‑legal colleagues.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in‑house.
• Solid understanding of commercial and contract law and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with enterprise‑level business environments; knowledge of the server/storage/cloud computing sector is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, professional maturity and sound judgment.
• Ability to ask critical questions, develop practical solutions and thrive in a cross‑functional, global organization.
