About the role
The Java Software Engineer will develop and maintain backend components of insurance systems such as policy management, claims, underwriting and CRM. The role involves designing stable RESTful APIs and collaborating closely with front‑end teams using Angular.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test and maintain Java backend services for insurance applications.
- Design, implement and document RESTful APIs ensuring reliability and easy integration.
- Work with the Angular front‑end team to integrate UI components and resolve interface issues.
- Participate in system analysis, database design, code reviews and deployment activities.
- Coordinate with business analysts, project managers and QA to clarify requirements and support testing.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring MVC and RESTful API development.
- Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL debugging.
- Good English reading and writing skills; spoken English a plus.
