IP Counsel – Intellectual Property Legal Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IP Counsel to lead the legal function of our Intellectual Property division. The role involves providing comprehensive legal advice on IP matters, managing complex patent disputes, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support our global IP strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counsel on all IP-related legal issues, including asset management, dispute resolution, and litigation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for complex patent litigation and pre-litigation matters, overseeing day-to-day activities.
• Partner with external counsel to actively manage disputes and develop practical risk-mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, business, and other corporate functions to drive global IP goals and strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in-house or at a law firm, preferably within the technology sector.
• Experience with patent litigation is highly desirable.
• LLM or JD from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent qualification from another English-speaking jurisdiction.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance competing priorities, and manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
