About the role
Monolithic Power Systems is seeking a Patent Engineer to support its R&D teams in protecting innovative technologies. You will play a key role in patent mining, drafting applications, and providing IP training.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with R&D engineers for patent mining.
- Draft patent applications, solicit disclosures of inventions and assist inventors in filing timely and accurate disclosures.
- Conduct patent search and analysis, and perform industry trend research.
- Provide support in internal and cross‑department projects.
- Conduct intellectual property training for engineering personnel.
Required profile
- Bachelor degree or above in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering or related fields.
- Good English communication ability with TOEIC score of 750 or above.
- Excellent learning skills and passion for technology and intellectual property.
- At least 3 years of experience in patent application and management (preferred).
- Familiarity with patent laws and practices in various jurisdictions, including U.S., China and Taiwan (a plus).
