Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager to lead sourcing initiatives for assigned spend categories. The role will act as a subject‑matter expert, developing and executing strategies that drive safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable value in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Conduct spend analysis, define categories, assess opportunities and formulate specific category strategies.
• Lead RFX processes and negotiate prices and contracts to achieve the best value from suppliers.
• Manage project timelines, resources, issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Establish and track KPIs and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and align sourcing initiatives with business goals.
• Conduct strategic supplier evaluations, hold joint review meetings and drive performance improvements.
• Collaborate with global and regional commodity leads to share best practices and align strategies.
• Monitor implementation of sourcing strategies, ensure total cost of ownership reductions and communicate results.

Required profile

• Proven experience in indirect procurement or category management.
• Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience in supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills and ability to present sourcing results.
