Head of Taiwan, MCL

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Head of Taiwan, MCL, responsible for the overall leadership, profitability and strategic growth of its contract logistics business covering warehousing, transport and distribution. The role owns end-to-end logistics operations, including distribution centres, transport management and business development, and delivers both annual performance targets and long-term strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver the country's annual operating plan and strategic roadmap, with full P&L responsibility including operating and capital budgets
• Drive profitable growth through operational excellence, cost optimization and productivity improvement, and lead capital and investment planning for new facilities, automation and technology
• Manage new account onboarding, and evaluate and execute mergers, acquisitions or strategic partnerships
• Define the country-level commercial strategy, build the business development pipeline and convert strategic opportunities
• Ensure high customer retention through consistent delivery and relationship management, and expand existing accounts with value-added solutions
• Oversee distribution centre and transport operations, and improve warehouse operations: labour planning, space and asset utilization, process optimization and standardization
• Partner with IT to deploy scalable WMS and digital solutions
• Build and lead a leadership team, develop talent pipelines and succession plans, and coach senior leaders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and safety requirements, champion HSSE standards, and represent the organization externally

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred)
• 10 to 15 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
• Proven leadership of large-scale, multi-site operations and a strong track record of P&L ownership and operational transformation
• Experience in multinational or matrix organizations is preferred
