Global Logistics Specialist

About the role

ALSO is seeking a Global Logistics Specialist based in Taiwan to lead import and export operations, ensure customs compliance, and act as the logistics partner for its regional supply chain. The role supports global logistics projects, parcel shipments, and vendor management across Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end import operations across global lanes, ensuring timely clearance and delivery.
• Coordinate with Taiwan customs brokers, freight forwarders and vendors for transportation planning.
• Track inbound and outbound shipments, proactively resolving delays or exceptions.
• Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes.
• Evaluate international freight forwarder performance against cost, transit time and reliability KPIs.
• Partner with suppliers and procurement to align shipment readiness with production and inventory needs.
• Monitor purchase orders from booking through delivery and record details in the ERP system.
• Support HTS/CCC code classification, customs audits, duty drawback and bonded processes.
• Ensure compliance with IATA, IMDG and DOT regulations for lithium‑ion battery cargo.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in global transportation, carrier management or freight forwarding.
• Solid knowledge of Taiwan and US customs regulations and HTS classification.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating customs compliance for battery and EV‑related cargo.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple freight modes simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup environment.
