Forensic Accounting & Claims Consultant

About the role

Marsh Risk is looking for a Consultant for its Forensic Accounting & Claims Service team. The role is based in Taipei and is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office. Consultants manage an allocated client base and advise clients across many industries on significant or problematic losses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated client base and advise clients on significant or problematic losses
• Investigate claims and prepare claim files for large loss submissions, including all relevant loss considerations
• Quantify actual loss and investigate and resolve coverage issues
• Negotiate with insurers to reach an agreeable settlement
• Work with clients, insurers and loss adjusters to reach a settlement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting; accounting qualifications or working towards them are an advantage
• 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting, audit or professional services; prior claims, accounting or loss adjusting experience preferred
• Fresh CPA candidates with a strong interest in forensic accounting are encouraged to apply
• Experience with major, complex, disputed or catastrophic losses, and in property, liability or business interruption claims is a plus
