Senior Associate, FIMA Index Client Services (Japanese)

About the role

The Senior Associate supports institutional clients who use FTSE Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Indices, which are used by 98 of the top 100 asset managers globally. The role works with local market experts worldwide to serve this client base, and may also research and track financial markets related to Index products and Passive Funds, including ETFs, and assist developers during product development. The position is based in Taipei.

Key responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for institutional clients, resolving index queries and understanding their use cases and business needs, especially for Japan clients
• Manage client communications and notifications on new products, service alerts, enhancements, disruptions, commercial packages and user permissions
• Support new client onboarding with the Sales teams, identify training needs and deliver demos and training sessions
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and anticipate client needs, representing the customer's voice internally
• Analyze client queries, research and extract bespoke data sets, and proactively identify improvements to service and workflows
• Coach team members, assist with training, and act as deep-domain expert and team lead for specific index offerings
• Take part in client calls and meetings, and support internal projects such as data analysis, training and product documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a similar field, with high academic standing
• 5+ years of experience in client service or financial services
• Native or advanced Japanese and excellent English
• Proficiency in investments and fixed income securities
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving, with multi-tasking, collaboration and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
