Fire Safety Assistant Manager

About the role

The Fire Safety Assistant Manager supports the hotel’s safety and food‑security programmes by ensuring compliance with local regulations, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement across kitchen and fire‑safety operations.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and update FEHD regulations and translate them into practical guidelines for food processing, storage and delivery.
• Conduct kitchen inspections and supplier audits to verify food‑safety and fire‑safety standards.
• Manage non‑conformances, including immediate actions, product quarantine, investigations and corrective‑preventive actions.
• Provide training and support to food‑and‑beverage teams on safety and quality matters.
• Prepare and circulate minutes for risk‑management and safety committee meetings, and compile quarterly compliance reports.
• Coordinate internal and external audits (PWT, corporate, professional bodies, government) and follow up on action plans.
• Publish safety‑related notices and deliver related training sessions.
• Facilitate compliance with Safe, Sound and Sustainable Standards.

Required profile

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel, Business Management or Security Management (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Local national preferred.
