Finance/Tax Accountant (Senior) – Taiwan

About the role

The Finance/Tax Accountant (Senior Accountant) will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting, tax compliance and company secretarial duties for our Taiwan operations. You will work closely with internal teams, external service providers and local authorities to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client billing, invoice printing and query handling, and support bank statement reconciliation.
• Prepare full sets of statutory accounts and ensure timely monthly, quarterly and year‑end closings.
• Handle VAT filing, tax declarations, withholding tax (WHT) submissions and annual tax returns without penalties.
• Coordinate tax audits, respond to inquiries and work with tax agencies and auditors.
• Oversee company secretarial functions, including legal compliance, company registration support, bank account setup and insurance coordination.
• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, lawyers and local authorities.
• Support credit‑card processing and other ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Accounting degree, diploma or professional qualification.
• Significant experience in statutory accounting, tax compliance and company secretarial duties.
• Proven ability to manage VAT, WHT and corporate tax filings in Taiwan.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
