Finance Accountant – 1‑Year Contract

About the role

This 1‑year contract position supports the finance team by tracking budget performance, preparing reports and assisting with data‑management systems. You will work closely with senior colleagues to ensure financial information is accurate and compliant with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor progress against budgets using established finance systems and report variances.
• Collect data from multiple sources, consolidate it and produce standard financial reports.
• Provide support and advice to colleagues on data‑management tools.
• Prepare moderately complex documents using standard office software.
• Gather and summarise data for internal and external reporting.
• Resolve queries from customers or suppliers, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Assist in developing and delivering financial policies, guidelines and protocols.
• Ensure work adheres to organisational policies, regulatory codes and conduct standards.

Required profile

• Understanding of finance policies, regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Ability to follow procedures and obtain necessary authorisations.
• Willingness to develop capabilities through training and coaching.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
