EHS Manager

About the role

The EHS Manager provides leadership and direction to the EHS engineers, overseeing environmental, health and safety programs for Applied Materials' operations in Northern Taiwan. The role is accountable for performance, results and compliance across customer fabs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and direct the EHS function, coaching engineers to implement programs that minimize risks to employees and customers.
• Lead field EHS action plans, communicate issues to management, generate reports, and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.
• Coordinate with Asia and corporate EHS groups, support field service teams, and maintain communication channels with stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, program promotion, special projects, and ensure compliance with Taiwan OSHA and company EHS standards.
• Conduct incident investigations using 8D, HOP, and other root‑cause tools, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Graduate degree or higher with strong English skills (TOEIC 780+).
• 8+ years of EHS experience, including 4+ years in contractor management and 3+ years leading teams.
• 4+ years of EHS experience in semiconductor or display manufacturing.
• In‑depth knowledge of Taiwan OSHA regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and industrial hygiene concepts.

• Taiwan OSHA regulatory compliance.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Incident investigation methodologies (8D, HOP, operational learning).
