Director, Global Access, Value & Economics – Taiwan

About the role

The Global Access, Value & Economics (GAVE) team at Intuitive Surgical is seeking a senior market access professional to shape and manage the economic landscape of Taiwan. This role will lead initiatives that address access, coverage, reimbursement, evidence, and economic barriers, driving broader adoption of Intuitive’s technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑country leadership and operational oversight to address barriers such as HTA, evidence development, medical policy, reimbursement submissions, payer engagement, HEOR, and launch support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (GM, Clinical Marketing, Sales, FSO, GPA, Clinical Affairs) to identify and execute strategic initiatives.
• Lead Taiwan’s Real‑World Evidence (RWE) strategy and manage real‑world data assets with the Regional HEOR team.
• Partner with the GAVE Center of Excellence and regional teams to address challenges involving payers, policymakers, HTA agencies, medical societies, and healthcare systems.
• Educate and train internal stakeholders on requirements and capabilities for technology adoption in Taiwan.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare systems, professional societies, payers, HTA bodies, academic researchers, reimbursement committees, and policymakers.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., HEOR, health policy, public health, healthcare, business administration, or related disciplines).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in market access, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), epidemiology, health policy, reimbursement, payer engagement, clinical sales, or HTA management in Taiwan.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with medical devices or healthcare technologies.
