Customer Service Development Program Manager – ETCH

About the role

The Customer Service Development Program Manager IV – ETCH acts as the local focal point between customers and the factory, driving service product development, evaluation, penetration, and deployment within Applied Global Services. This role blends technical expertise in wafer processing with strong project leadership to meet current and future customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop service solutions in close consultation with factory and account teams.
• Define customer needs, create delivery plans, and act as the technical expert on wafer process and hardware technologies.
• Manage definition and implementation of service solutions, integrating customer requirements into internal product roadmaps.
• Resolve complex field process issues using systematic troubleshooting and statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Conduct customer demonstrations, define demo conditions, process wafers, and analyze results.
• Support account teams to enhance customer satisfaction and promote Applied Materials’ technical reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct wafer processing experience, including at least 3 years supporting customers.
• Self‑driven with proven ability to lead projects with limited oversight.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English.
