Corporate Communications Manager

About the role

The Corporate Communications Manager will shape and strengthen dentsu’s corporate reputation by delivering key messages, achievements, and thought‑leadership content to external audiences. This highly external‑facing position requires strong media‑relations experience, sound judgment, and the confidence to represent the organisation with discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Marketing & Communications to design external communications strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Develop and execute corporate communications, public relations, and media‑relations plans that boost brand visibility and reputation.
• Create high‑quality external materials such as press releases, media statements, corporate announcements, thought‑leadership articles, and executive messaging.
• Identify news angles, pitch stories, and position senior leaders as industry thought leaders.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and key media outlets.
• Manage media enquiries, prepare spokespeople, coordinate interviews, and oversee follow‑up communications.
• Organise press conferences, media briefings, and other external communication events.
• Support social‑media communications that reinforce corporate positioning.
• Monitor media coverage and industry developments to spot opportunities and reputational risks.
• Assist with issues management and crisis communications by crafting timely, accurate responses.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
• Previous experience in a PR or communications agency.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage communications projects and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of media relations, news angles, and the local media landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Proven writing and editing capabilities for press releases, media pitches, executive briefings, and talking points.
