Business Development Manager – Food Ingredients (Taiwan)

About the role

Barry Callebaut is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its chocolate and cocoa solutions in Taiwan. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with food manufacturers, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering value‑adding solutions that drive profitable sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with food manufacturers to increase market presence.
• Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with key customers and industry associations.
• Achieve annual sales volume and margin targets, negotiating contracts, pricing and supply‑chain terms.
• Collaborate with R&D, supply‑chain and marketing teams to tailor solutions for customers.
• Monitor competitor activity, analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM data and opportunity management in Salesforce.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science or a related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of B2B sales or marketing experience, with at least 3–5 years in account management or business development within food ingredients, FMCG or B2B food solutions.
• Strong knowledge of the chocolate, cocoa and broader food sector.
• Extensive network and resources in Taiwan’s food industry.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
