Business Development Manager – Data Center Infrastructure

About the role

Sensata Technologies is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives in the data center infrastructure market. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with hyperscale operators, colocation providers, and equipment manufacturers, and driving adoption of Sensata’s innovative solutions in high‑density, AI‑driven environments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee new account development within an established geographic territory/product line and build a strong pipeline of new business.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in liquid cooling, air cooling, rack‑level power distribution, and electrical protection for data centers.
• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new sensor, switch, and power conversion technologies.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, hyperscalers, and system integrators.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product management, engineering, and marketing to align customer needs with product roadmaps.
• Lead contract negotiations and support pricing strategies in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Represent Sensata at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote differentiated value.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelors) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple competing tasks and demonstrate strong communication, organization and time‑management skills.
• Strong personal and professional ethical values, integrity and accountability for achieving goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
