Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to integrate EMC strategies from the earliest stages of System‑in‑Package (SiP) and PCB layout. You will work closely with IC design, packaging, firmware and functional safety (ISO 26262) teams to ensure our products meet Tier‑1 automotive certification standards on the first attempt.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑design PCB power distribution networks and define decoupling capacitor placement to minimise EMI and improve electromagnetic stability.
• Perform system‑level radiated and conducted noise simulations using 3D EM tools (e.g., Ansys, CST) before tape‑out to identify and mitigate EMC risks.
• Validate compliance with global automotive EMC standards such as CISPR 25 and ISO 11452, and support certification activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electromagnetism or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in EMC development or debugging of automotive electronic products.
• Strong foundation in microwave and electromagnetic theory, signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI), and ability to interpret S‑parameters and PDN impedance curves.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and proven experience collaborating across hardware, software and IC design teams.
