Tax Specialist – Japanese Services Group (Business Process Solutions)

About the role

Join Deloitte's Japanese Services Group in Taipei as a Tax Specialist, providing comprehensive tax advisory services to Japanese‑invested enterprises operating in Taiwan. You will work at the intersection of domestic tax, international tax and transfer pricing, supporting cross‑border clients with seamless solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tax advisory services covering domestic tax, international tax and transfer pricing for Japanese‑invested companies in Taiwan.
• Collaborate closely with Japanese member firms to design and implement integrated cross‑border tax solutions.
• Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including document review, invoice processing and data entry into accounting systems.
• Assist in preparing financial and management reports, ensure withholding tax compliance, and maintain client communications.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects and additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Japanese Studies or a related discipline.
• Basic proficiency in both Japanese and English for business communication and document review.
• At least one year of audit‑related experience in an accounting firm is preferred, though candidates without prior experience are also considered.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, accounting standards and relevant laws.
• Good analytical abilities and data‑processing skills.
