Staff Quality Engineer – QMS

About the role

Synaptics is seeking a highly motivated Staff Quality Engineer to lead and continuously improve its Quality Management System (QMS). The role focuses on maintaining ISO 9001 compliance, driving internal audits, supporting external certifications, and fostering continuous improvement across engineering and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and enhance the corporate QMS in line with ISO 9001 and customer‑specific requirements.
• Develop and manage quality procedures, work instructions, forms, and standards.
• Monitor QMS KPIs, support Management Review activities, and generate quality dashboards.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for systemic quality issues.
• Plan and execute internal quality audits across engineering, operations, and support functions.
• Coordinate ISO 9001 certification audits and customer quality audits, tracking findings to closure.
• Manage controlled documents within Agile PLM, ensuring revision control and approval workflows.
• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and coordinate Product Change/Discontinuance Notifications (PCN/PDN) to meet contractual and JEDEC requirements.
• Drive process improvement initiatives using established quality methodologies.

Required profile

• Strong background in semiconductor quality systems and document control.
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 9001 audit processes and customer quality requirements.
• Experience with Agile PLM or similar product lifecycle management tools.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards and JEDEC specifications.
• Proven ability to lead internal audits and manage CAPA programs.
