Sr. Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineer to join Yahoo Taiwan E‑commerce, the technology arm of the Uni‑President Group. You will help build and evolve a high‑performance online commerce platform that processes millions of transactions and massive data streams daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test end‑to‑end features for current and future e‑commerce products.
• Collaborate on project timelines, design specifications, system flow diagrams and documentation.
• Maintain and enhance existing services, including those outside your primary domain.
• Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to self‑development.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Java server‑side API development and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of internet fundamentals such as HTTP, networking and information security.
• Hands‑on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).
• Proficiency with Linux command line, scripting and containerised environments.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.

Required skills

• AI‑driven software development and process automation.
• Cyber‑security concepts including authentication and authorization.
• Large‑scale distributed systems and container technologies (Kubernetes).
• Cloud platforms – AWS, GCP or Azure.
• DevOps practices – CI/CD pipelines, unit and functional automation testing, performance tuning.
