Customer Support Engineer Intern

About the role

Motorola Solutions is looking for an intern to join its Customer Support Engineer team in Taipei. The department provides technical support for a major mission-critical operations system, supporting the delivery of customer applications and company products. The intern works with cross-functional teams across web, mobile and middleware technologies, in a team environment providing high-quality technical and operational support for mission-critical IT and radio systems.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure service level and operational key performance measures are met on an ongoing basis
• Manage legacy and new system solutions, applications and processes, with access to labs and testing facilities
• Follow work instructions, procedures and policies, and help implement and maintain procedures to measure and track service performance and quality
• Act as an escalation point for Helpdesk staff and Service Engineers alongside senior technical engineers
• Interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support existing systems and networks (servers, firewalls, routers and switches)
• Perform software installations (base stations, servers, radios and other devices) and work on network devices remotely or onsite, assisting with network designs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, IT, Electronics, Engineering or a related discipline
• Background in networks, IT and virtual machines
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good command of verbal and written English
• A 'can do' attitude and ability to think on their feet

No travel required and no relocation provided. The position is an internship.
