Software Systems Engineer II – Backend Services

About the role

Yahoo Taiwan E-Commerce is looking for a Software Systems Engineer II to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power its e‑commerce platform. You will work closely with product, frontend, data, and AI teams to deliver high‑quality features and ensure platform reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate backend services for product catalog, search, recommendation, pricing, and order processing.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for internal platforms, frontend applications, and partner integrations.
• Improve performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability of services.
• Participate in system architecture design, technical planning, code reviews, and engineering decisions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, release processes, and operational excellence.
• Manage source code with GitHub and artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory.
• Explore AI‑assisted development workflows to boost productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated with a commitment to continuous learning.
