Senior Staff Product Engineer - Semiconductor Test

About the role

Marvell is looking for a highly motivated Senior Staff Product Engineer to join a product engineering team focused on storage controllers and cloud data center connectivity solutions. The team works on technologies such as PAM4 DSP and Coherent DSP that enable high-speed data transfer between and within data centers, and supports Marvell's partners in moving data from copper PHY to optics.

Key responsibilities

• Work in the initial phase of new product introduction, bringing up silicon with the NPI Product and Test team in the US to validate device features and test/DFT methodologies.
• Collaborate with NPI PE, Test, Foundry and Reliability Engineering teams to drive NPI development of high-speed data center products and their variants.
• Analyze yield at engineering sample phase, characterize performance and manufacturing yield window, and correlate bench results to meet product cost targets.
• Perform data mining and statistical analysis on wafer sort and final test parameters, and run functional tests to ensure product operation and reliability.
• Support test engineering on test program issues, and support volume engineering sample supply for early hyperscaler customers.
• Plan and coordinate yield and test time improvement activities to meet mass production release goals, and engage and manage the test subcontractor in early production.
• Work with HVM PE to improve production capacity after release through test time reduction, yield improvements and qualifying alternate sources.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a related field (M.S. preferred).
• Minimum 10 years in the semiconductor industry and 6 years in semiconductor manufacturing with 7nm technology node and below.
• Demonstrable knowledge of yield analysis, quality management tools, GR&R, Cp and Cpk.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience with Auto Test Equipment (ATE), Adventest 93K, UltraFlex, test handlers and wafer probers (a plus).
• Strong hands-on experience in test development and debugging, self-directed project management, and excellent written and spoken English.
