Senior Staff Engineer, Hardware Design

About the role

The Senior Staff Engineer, Hardware Design leads the creation of advanced electrical and mechanical systems for high‑quality products. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, customers, manufacturing, and project leadership, you will ensure robust designs that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement complex hardware solutions for new and existing products.
• Lead technical reviews, incorporate feedback from manufacturing, test, supply‑chain and reliability teams.
• Create detailed schematics, bills of material, 3‑D models, and engineering drawings.
• Perform calculations, simulations, testing and qualification activities, and adjust designs as needed.
• Act as primary technical liaison with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop deployment strategies, manage vendor relationships and support the manufacturing process.

Required profile

• Recognized subject‑matter expert with global industry knowledge.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership to multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong analytical skills and experience reviewing customer specifications.
• Up‑to‑date with relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices.
• Capability to manage non‑technical project elements such as schedule and budget.
