Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Platform

About the role

NVIDIA's DSX OS organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the core services that power its accelerated compute cloud platform. You will collaborate with product architects, managers, and fellow engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for multi‑tenant cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software systems for managing NVIDIA’s cloud infrastructure.
• Develop network and systems automation tools that provision hardware and networking resources.
• Contribute to open‑source projects that underpin the platform.
• Present roadmaps, technical vision, and demos to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience building distributed software systems.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong ownership of code from development through production deployment.
• Passion for code quality, testing, and efficient deployment pipelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C, C++, Golang, or Rust.
• Experience with asynchronous programming, threading models, state machines, and complex data structures.
• Knowledge of data persistence technologies such as SQL.
• Understanding of secure communication protocols (mutual‑TLS, IPsec).
• Familiarity with networking protocols: IP, IPv6, BGP, HTTP, ICMP, VXLAN, Geneve, FoU, GRE.
• Experience with host management systems (DHCP, Redfish, UEFI) and security features (TPM, TXT, SecureBoot).
• Hands‑on with Kubernetes and distributed task scheduling frameworks.
• Awareness of SRE principles including observability, SLOs, and logging.
