Senior Purchaser – Materials Procurement

About the role

The Senior Purchaser will lead material buying activities aligned with MRP and production schedules, ensuring a reliable supply chain for our manufacturing operations. You will act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal teams, driving cost‑effective sourcing while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchasing orders based on MRP forecasts and production plans to prevent material shortages.
• Develop and sustain strong supplier relationships, negotiating price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, logistics, and other internal stakeholders to synchronize procurement with project and production needs.
• Monitor purchase order status, lead times, and delivery schedules, proactively addressing any supply chain disruptions.
• Assess supplier performance regularly and support sourcing strategies aimed at cost reduction and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of purchasing or supply‑chain experience, preferably within electronics or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to work independently and cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with MRP systems.
• Proficiency in ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
