Senior Operations Manager, Guanyin Taiwan

About the role

MKS Atotech is looking for a Senior Operations Manager (Plant Site Head) for its manufacturing facility in Guanyin, Taiwan. The role oversees day-to-day operations and functionally reports to the Senior Director Operations, Asia. It covers production, quality control, supply chain, maintenance, wastewater treatment, HSE and 5S.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across production, quality control, supply chain (inventory, warehousing, customer service and logistics), maintenance, WWT, HSE and 5S.
• Manage staff, optimize processes to meet production goals, quality standards and customer service, and ensure safety, compliance and efficiency.
• Drive cost efficiency and shape plant operations by collecting and analyzing data to make improvements.
• Collaborate with other entities and sites within the group to deliver efficient operations.
• Improve customer service by leading QA and customer service teams to address product quality and customer complaints.
• Establish best practices and standards, drive continuous improvement, and ensure plant equipment runs to specification and capacity.
• Foster a positive work environment, coach and develop the team, and maintain high performance standards.

Required profile

• At least 15 years of manufacturing experience in chemical or process industries.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemical, Production, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline; business management qualifications preferred.
• Leadership and management acumen, with ability to collaborate across functions.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Technical acumen to run a manufacturing operations site independently.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, LEAN, 6 Sigma and structured problem-solving tools.
• Working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing ERP systems.
• Analytical, prioritization and stakeholder engagement skills.
