Application Engineer - Advanced Electrolytic Plating

About the role

As a Senior Application Engineer in the field of Advanced Electrolytic Plating, you will join the global Business Unit Applications team. You will turn customer requirements into innovative product and process solutions while supporting global product qualifications and market rollouts. The role combines hands-on laboratory work, process development, customer interaction and technical problem solving in an international setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support the development, implementation and optimisation of processes
• Design and run experiments in the laboratory / TechCenter to improve processes and find new business opportunities
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues on site at customer locations
• Work closely with global sales and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product deployment
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations and application documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Surface Technology or a related field
• Relevant professional experience in the electronics industry, specifically in printed circuit boards (PCB)
• Experience or strong interest in electrochemical metal deposition
• Practical exposure to process development, troubleshooting or industrial/manufacturing environments
• Willingness to travel internationally (about 30%) and work in a global environment
