Senior Engineer – Water Facilities (Global)

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the Water discipline within its Global Facilities Engineering organization. The role supports the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of ultra‑pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment (WWT) and waste chemical systems across semiconductor manufacturing sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical domain expert for UPW, WWT and waste chemical systems, providing consultation to site facilities and manufacturing teams.
• Develop, review and maintain global standards, specifications and best‑known methods for water‑related facilities.
• Support design and construction of large‑scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and project schedules.
• Lead global facilities programs, including sustainability initiatives and AI‑enabled digital‑twin tools for performance optimization.
• Travel internationally (25‑40% average, up to 66% during critical phases) to support site activities and project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Industrial Systems Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of experience in semiconductor or facilities engineering, with deep knowledge of UPW, reclaim water, WWT and waste chemical systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work in cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
