Senior Baseband Design Engineer

About the role

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Baseband Design Engineer to lead chipset design efforts, focusing on MSM and peripheral sections. The role involves end‑to‑end hardware development from concept through prototype validation.

Key responsibilities

• Design Qualcomm chipsets with emphasis on MSM and peripheral integration.
• Evaluate board‑level solutions, select key components, and complete schematic designs after solution lock‑down.
• Collaborate with silicon designers and CAD teams to produce high‑quality PCB layouts.
• Work with software teams to bring up prototypes, enable functions such as DDR, display, camera, USB, and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct lab tests, system bring‑up, circuit debugging, and system verification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field (higher degrees accepted).
• Minimum 5 years of experience on Qualcomm platforms or equivalent hardware engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on ability with board‑level design and validation.

Required skills

• DDR, eMMC, UFS memory interfaces.
• Power‑supply and audio‑circuit design.
• High‑speed signal interface expertise.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Component selection and board‑level solution evaluation.
• Lab testing, system bring‑up, circuit debugging, and system verification.
