Senior Backend Engineer (HQ)

About the role

The Senior Backend Engineer designs and builds high-performance APIs using Python and Flask, contributes to architectural decisions, and upholds a high quality bar through rigorous reviews and standards. The role also drives AI-augmented development practices to boost team productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop system flows, optimize core modules, and maintain module requirements.
• Conduct deep code reviews focusing on architecture, performance, and maintainability; enforce backend coding standards and resolve production incidents efficiently.
• Leverage AI coding tools such as Claude Code, evaluate output quality, and create AI-driven workflows including prompt templates and custom skills.
• Share knowledge through reviews, tech talks, or documentation and collaborate cross-functionally with Frontend, DevOps, Data, and Product Management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of backend development experience with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production services at scale.
• Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end and strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ownership mindset, pragmatic decision-making, and continuous learning attitude.
