About the role
We are looking for a Retail HR Business Partner / Assistant Manager to support L'OREAL Taiwan’s retail operations. The role will act as the primary HR contact for store teams, aligning people strategies with business goals and driving a high‑performing employee experience.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with retail and business leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide proactive HR consultation, coaching managers on people management, engagement, talent development and workforce challenges.
- Support organizational changes, restructuring, and new store openings.
- Serve as the main HR point of contact for assigned retail populations.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely recruitment for store‑based positions and improve hiring quality, retention and workforce stability.
- Guide employee‑relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance issues and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with Taiwan labour law and employment regulations.
- Facilitate performance‑management processes across retail functions.
- Partner with leaders to build succession pipelines for key retail roles.
- Drive employee‑engagement initiatives, analyse survey results and implement action plans.
- Support recognition, wellbeing and diversity programmes.
- Promote company culture and values throughout the retail organization.
- Work with People Development & Learning to deliver training and development programmes.
- Continuously improve HR processes, employee experience and support HR system and policy enhancements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
- 5‑8 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or Generalist roles.
- Experience supporting retail, hospitality, FMCG, consumer or luxury multi‑site operations.
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan labour law and local employment regulations.
- Proven ability to handle employee‑relations cases and labour‑compliance matters.
- Familiarity with workforce planning and frontline employee management.
