Regional Development Applications Engineer - Hsinchu

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Regional Development Applications Engineer in Hsinchu. The engineer works closely with internal engineering, sales and customer teams to provide application support for advanced inspection and metrology systems, driving product adoption and customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer demos and head-to-head evaluations to demonstrate product value
• Support Alpha, Beta and ramp phases to enable product adoption
• Analyze yield and process issues and provide solutions
• Design experiments and develop application recipes to optimize performance
• Provide troubleshooting and escalation support
• Collaborate with R&D on product validation and data analysis
• Prepare test reports, BKMs and training materials
• Conduct customer and internal trainings

Required profile

• MS (or BS with experience) in Physics, Optics, Materials Science, EE or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Self-driven, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in English and able to work effectively with different cultures
• Willing to travel 50-70% domestically and internationally
