Onsite EHS Engineer (2 Years)

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring an Onsite EHS Engineer in Hsinchu. The role combines internal EHS training, customer site safety supervision, audits and compliance assurance, working closely with customers' fabs.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an EHS internal training instructor: update training materials, consolidate attendance records, deliver sessions and answer questions.
• Lead annual customer agreement meetings, prepare materials and coordinate with Business Units on work risk assessment content.
• Take part in routine customer safety meetings and prepare related documentation.
• Supervise high-risk operations, identify critical on-site risks and work with customers and employees to prevent safety violations and injuries.
• Carry out regular EHS patrols and audits at customer fabs, identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, submit daily reports and manage gowning areas and storage zones according to 6S principles.
• Attend customer EHS meetings, follow up on them and ensure compliance with PIP, security and EHS requirements from government, customer and company perspectives.
• Respond to customer violations or emergency incidents and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Support other duties assigned by management, including office fire drills, emergency response exercises, arranging cleanroom garment laundering and procuring and distributing cleanroom supplies and notebooks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; 1 year of related work experience is a plus.
• Class-1 manager of occupational safety and health affairs or Class B occupational safety and health management personnel preferred.
• Nice to have the latest TSMC Green Card certification.
• Good knowledge of local EHS regulations or customer EHS/PIP rules.
• Good communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to handle customer interactions.
