Product Development Engineer – Process Technology Integration

About the role

AMD is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join the Member Technical Staff (MTS) Process Technology Integration team. You will work closely with AMD’s foundry partners to drive yield, performance, and reliability for high‑volume CPU/GPU/APU manufacturing at advanced nodes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expertise in FEOL (Front‑End‑Of‑Line) loops such as isolation, fin, channel, epi, source‑drain, spacer, gate stack, and patterning.
• Review systematic defect and parametric signatures with the foundry and oversee FEOL issues across products and nodes.
• Design and analyze process improvement (CIP/BKM) evaluations run at the foundry.
• Conduct hands‑on product yield analysis, including hard‑bin, soft‑bin, and parametric data.
• Analyze cross‑product yield loss signatures and assess DFM/layout impacts.
• Collaborate with device analysis teams to identify structural and parametric failure mechanisms.
• Interface with supplier quality and reliability groups to ensure robust manufacturing processes.

• Ability to think like a process integrator/fab technologist and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset for yield and defect analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with global AMD and foundry teams.
