Procurement Manager

About the role

Veolia, a French multinational active in water, waste and energy management, is hiring a Procurement Manager for its Taiwan business unit. The role reports to the CFO of the Taiwan unit, works closely with the buyers of each subsidiary and sits within a procurement community spread across several locations in Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage the Procurement function at business-unit level, above the subsidiaries, developing procedures aligned with Group requirements and tracking performance objectives and purchasing savings.
• Manage data collection reporting to Asia/Group headquarters, analyse procurement categories, track the supplier panel and coverage, and coordinate with buyers across the unit to achieve synergies.
• Build and manage a suppliers database and support subsidiaries on supplier relationship management such as risk assessment and strategic supplier reviews.
• Lead optimisation initiatives: improve the Procure-To-Pay (P2P) process through diagnostics, gap analysis and implementation of changes, modernise information systems, deploy sustainable procurement policies and improve cross-departmental interaction.
• In selected subsidiaries, identify suppliers, develop contracts, establish and monitor KPIs and achieve cost savings.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement, ideally in an industrial and/or multinational company.
• Fluent English and Mandarin.
• Ability to interact with various departments and entities in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of P2P processes and procurement processes is desirable.
• Knowledge of finance is a plus.
• Good command of MS Excel; some knowledge of the Google suite is a plus.
• Good presentation skills.
