Permit Coordinator

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Permit Coordinator in Taipei. The role works on-site at project locations as needed and acts as the main contact with governmental authorities on all regulatory matters. It covers permit and approval management, compliance support and coordination with national, provincial and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the PMC focal point for monitoring, coordinating and facilitating all regulatory approvals, permits and licenses
• Track permit and approval status throughout the project lifecycle and maintain a comprehensive permit register
• Coordinate regulatory submissions and follow them through to final approval
• Ensure strict compliance with permit conditions and regulatory obligations, and support government inspections, audits and on-site verification
• Maintain accurate regulatory reporting and documentation for audit readiness
• Identify permitting risks early, coordinate interfaces with authorities and resolve regulatory bottlenecks to protect the project schedule
• Support operational readiness and commissioning approvals for smooth project handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in construction-related fields such as architecture or civil engineering
• 7+ years of experience in Taiwan building permits, reviews and liaison with government authorities
• Ability to consult with authorities and review permit documents
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and meets aggressive deadlines
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Korean is a plus
