Assistant Cost Manager (MEP) - Cost Management

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is hiring an Assistant Cost Manager (MEP) in Taipei. You will support the Commission Manager in project delivery and assist in cost management activities on a wide range of projects of all sizes.

Key responsibilities

• Project support and coordination: conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking; estimate and produce cost plans for the cost management team
• Compile and amend the tender list, analyse tenders and draft tender reports; help compile procurement documentation
• Handle variations and assist in managing change control, negotiating less significant or complex matters
• Carry out cost checks and valuations, and help prepare final accounts
• Monitor and report: track cost management progress and draft monthly cost reports, and manage cost documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus
• At least 2 years' experience in MEP cost management or construction projects (e.g. cost manager, construction manager, procurement, project manager, vendor, consultant)
• Native-level Chinese; business-level English preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Understanding of quantity surveying tools and methodologies is a plus
• Proficiency in cost estimation software such as Cost-X is a plus
