Operations Associate, COO Office

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and highly organized Operations Associate to support the COO office of an international asset‑management firm. The role offers direct exposure to senior management and hands‑on experience with financial operations and AI‑enabled process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the COO team with daily operational tasks, including meeting documentation and file management.
• Coordinate communications and information exchange with banks, securities firms, and other external partners.
• Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot to automate reports, consolidate data, summarise documents and draft emails.
• Prepare supporting materials for regulatory compliance and filings with supervisory authorities.
• Participate in internal process‑improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide support for cross‑functional projects and other operational matters handled by the COO team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience, preferably in a financial institution, accounting firm or securities company.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with excellent written communication abilities.
• Strong interest in the asset‑management industry and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience or willingness to learn AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot for workflow automation.
• Basic understanding of financial products (equities, futures, options, FX) is a plus.
