Offshore Wind Turbine Service Technician

About the role

As an Offshore Wind Turbine Service Technician based at Formosa, you will play a key role in the energy transition by ensuring optimal performance and availability of offshore wind turbines. Working in a demanding offshore environment, you will follow strict safety protocols while carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform annual preventive maintenance on wind turbines, including work on high‑voltage systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automation faults.
• Execute corrective maintenance to restore turbine functionality.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify equipment integrity and performance.
• Prepare for missions by gathering documentation, tools, and spare parts, and attend daily briefings.
• Ensure safe transfers to and from offshore turbines via crew transfer vessels.
• Create detailed reports on maintenance activities, findings, and parts used.

Required profile

• Vocational degree or diploma in Maintenance, Mechanics, Electrotechnics, Automation or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting; wind‑energy experience is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work autonomously, take responsibility for missions and collaborate within a skilled team.
• Flexibility to work a 7/7 rotation schedule and adapt to offshore conditions.
• Fluent English for technical communication.
