Maintenance Manager (Plant Operations)

About the role

The Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance activities at the plant, ensuring asset reliability, safety compliance and high equipment availability. Reporting to senior management, the role oversees a team of 9‑12 engineers and technicians and drives preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance through a CMMS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily, weekly and monthly preventive and predictive maintenance plans using the CMMS, and manage corrective actions for unexpected breakdowns.
• Monitor asset performance, generate KPI reports and continuously improve equipment availability and plant profitability.
• Serve as the primary out‑of‑hours contact for equipment emergencies, lead incident investigations and perform root‑cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations, design safe work procedures and promote a zero‑harm culture.
• Control maintenance budgets, evaluate subcontractor proposals and manage spare‑parts inventory to optimise OPEX.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Proven experience leading a technical team of 9–12 members.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
