Legal Manager (HQ)

About the role

The Legal Manager will support Morrison’s headquarters by providing practical legal advice, reviewing contracts, and managing legal risks across the company’s shipping, logistics and freight forwarding activities. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and protect the business’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate contracts, guaranteeing alignment with international and local regulations.
• Assist operations and sales teams with cargo claims, gathering evidence and liaising with insurance providers.
• Provide legal counsel on shipping, logistics and freight‑forwarding matters to Finance, Sales and Operations departments.
• Conduct legal research and support dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation or litigation with external counsel.
• Guide the company on employment law compliance and deliver training on policies and legal issues.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, contributing to the company’s risk‑management framework.
• Support corporate governance activities, such as filings and board documentation, when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.).
• At least 4 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within logistics, transportation or freight forwarding.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
