Litigation & Dispute Resolution Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Litigation & Dispute Resolution Counsel to lead global litigation strategy, manage pre‑suit disputes and regulatory enforcement across our international organization. The role partners with executive leadership and business units to assess risk, develop resolution plans and protect the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global litigation playbooks, dispute handling policies, settlement guidelines and legal risk frameworks.
• Formulate defence strategies for complex commercial, IP, product liability and regulatory matters, and lead early case assessments.
• Oversee global litigation operations, including external counsel selection, matter management, budgeting and billing oversight.
• Manage eDiscovery workflows, document retention notices and privilege management in line with cross‑border data privacy requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional dispute risk reviews, advise business units on litigation avoidance and contract remediation, and partner with senior stakeholders on settlement strategies.
• Collaborate with regional and global legal teams on cross‑border disputes and strategic legal initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 8–10 years post‑qualification experience in commercial litigation, arbitration or dispute resolution.
• Strong background in managing cross‑border commercial disputes and complex multi‑jurisdictional claims.
• Extensive experience in eDiscovery governance, external counsel management and litigation budgeting.
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong ownership and accountability.
