About the role
Yahoo Taiwan E‑Commerce is seeking a seasoned in‑house counsel to serve as the primary legal contact for its business team. The role involves supporting commercial contracts, handling disputes and litigation, and managing day‑to‑day legal matters within the e‑commerce ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Review and draft a wide range of contracts, providing legal advice to reduce risk and enable business initiatives.
- Manage disputes and litigation, including intellectual property, consumer, and labor matters.
- Ensure compliance with e‑commerce related laws and regulations such as data privacy, consumer protection, advertising, payment, and intellectual property, and monitor regulatory developments.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer licensed to practice in Taiwan.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm or in‑house role, with both transactional and litigation expertise.
- Working knowledge of e‑commerce relevant laws, including competition, labor, corporate, data privacy, consumer protection, advertising, payment, and intellectual property.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
